Moon in Capricorn is not an emotionally expressive position. Earthy Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and likes the clarity that comes with structure and control. Both Capricorn and it’s opposite in the Zodiac – the highly empathic and emotional Cancer – are associated with the concerns of the family. Cancer provides the nurturance children need while Capricorn provides the safe container.
This Full Moon comes at a particularly transformative time. Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) and Neptune are conjunct and both are stationary. Neptune turned retrograde on July 4; Saturn will turn retrograde on July 13. Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, began its transition into Gemini on July 7. These are big shifts and huge changes; we need the clear, unemotional energy of Capricorn to steady us during this time.
